Yardley is a beautiful brown tabby who was found outside as a stray. She had moved herself into a Good Samaritan’s doghouse. When it was clear no one was missing Yardley, they took her into their home and scheduled an appointment for Yardley to get her first checkup in what was surely a very long time. Yardley awaited her vet visit living peacefully indoors for a few days with dogs and other cats. She was comfortable with strangers and children, as well.

Sadly, the checkup revealed that Yardley has diabetes, perhaps the reason she was abandoned outside on her own out in the first place. Her new caretakers were not equipped to deal with a kitty with diabetes. Fortunately, we had space for her at Tabby’s Place. Yardley is just our type of kitty.

Yardley is a very sweet, affectionate cat with a lively personality. She loves being held, enjoys a good brushing, and is very talkative. (We think she’s trying to share her adventures about her pre-doghouse days.) Why not come by and let her bend your ear — she’ll warm your heart, making it hard to resist adopting her!
